Margaret Clarke
Margaret Clarke, RMFT-SM, is devoted to providing genuine empathy to ensure you feel heard in a safe environment. She considers therapy to be a genuine partnership between people and that it is a privilege for her to walk with you and help you find hope and new ways of addressing the issues that bring you to therapy. She also has a strength-based therapeutic stance and strives to evoke your own knowledge, skills, insights, and values as she works with you.
Margaret utilizes a variety of therapies, such as Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.
Margaret has over 15 years of experience as a therapist and pursues continuous learning in honing her therapeutic skills. Margaret is involved in educating and supervising new therapists as a professor and coordinator of Briercrest Seminary’s graduate counselling programs and also a CAMFT approved supervisor. Further, Margaret also helps mentor new clinical supervisors as a CAMFT Supervisor Mentor.
Margaret specializes in working with couples, clergy members and their family members, and in providing therapy to other professional therapists and counsellors. In addition to providing therapy, clinical supervision, and supervisor mentoring, Margaret also provides training and presentations on a variety of topics, such as clergy resilience and Motivational Interviewing.
